Hydraulic hose and fittings
Maintenance Engineering Australia supplies high quality Taipan Hose products and has a mobile hose trailer to make hoses on site as well as at the workshop. Small orders are welcome, and we are equally capable of quoting large orders.
A burst hose stops a machine, and a machine that is stopped costs more every hour it sits. We keep hose, fittings and crimping capability close to the work so the fix is measured in hours rather than days, whether that is a single line on a tractor or a full re-hose during a refurbishment.
Hydraulic repairs to heavy plant, equipment and vehicles sit alongside the hose work, so if the hose was a symptom rather than the cause, we can chase the rest of it too.

Supply
Authorised dealer for Taipan Hoses. Hydraulic hose, fittings and adaptors held and supplied to trade and retail customers. Small orders are genuinely welcome.
Custom fabrication
Assemblies made to your sample, drawing or measurement, crimped and tested to the hose manufacturer's specification rather than to a guess.
Replacement
Failed hose replaced on site from the mobile hose trailer, or in the workshop if the machine is already on the floor with us.
Refurbishment hose packages
Complete hose sets for equipment refurbishment projects, so a rebuilt machine goes back to work on new lines rather than tired ones.
Large orders
Bulk and scheduled supply quoted for fleets, contractors and shutdown scopes. Tell us the volume and the timeframe and we will price it.
Mobile hose trailer
Made where the machine broke down
Our mobile hose trailer carries hose, fittings and crimping gear to the job, which means a hose can be measured, made and fitted in one visit. It works on mine sites, farms, civil jobs and yards, and it works just as well parked at the Quinalow workshop.
Because the trailer travels with our field service crew, a hose call out can pick up the rest of the machine's hydraulic problems at the same time.
In the workshop
Fabrication service, coming soon
A dedicated in-house hose fabrication service at the Quinalow workshop is being set up. Until it is commissioned, hose work runs through the mobile trailer and the existing workshop crimping capability, which covers most of what customers ask for.

Documentation
Certificates and compliance records
Mining and heavy industrial clients often need more than the hose itself. We can supply fabrication certificates and compliance documentation for hose assemblies we make, covering hose specification, fitting type, crimp record and test details, so the paperwork matches what is on the machine.
If your site works to a Recognised Standard or an internal hose management procedure, tell us what the document set has to look like and we will match it. Records are issued with the job today. A customer portal holding hose specifications, purchase history and compliance documents is on the roadmap for a later phase of this site.
